Kent September 1988 The TCP/IP PrintServer is a printer that uses Internet protocols to communicate with its clients. The protocol is called the Print Server Protocol. It is a record-oriented protocol layered on top of TCP. This document is the specification of the Print Server Protocol. It includes both the client protocols (those used to print files on the printer) and the management protocols (those used to control access and accounting and configuration of the printer).
